Phil is a mining geologist with over 30 years’ experience of providing consultancy services to minerals companies throughout the world, with particular specialisation in CIS, Europe, and Africa. He has a Mining Geology degree from Royal School of Mines in London, and a PhD in Exploration Geochemistry from Camborne School of Mines in Cornwall, UK. During his long career as a consulting geologist, Phil has undertaken a large variety of exploration and mining-related contracts, from project management through to technical audits of both metalliferous (specifically gold and base metals) and industrial mineral deposits. In addition, Phil is responsible for Wardell Armstrong’s Mining Division as well as managing the company’s Moscow and Almaty offices. From a technical standpoint, most recently, Phil has been responsible for Project Managing the Mineral Expert Report for the successful Glencore IPO.
