Presentation opportunities and terms

The Forum will address on-going issues and look into prospects of Russia’s mining industry’s development in current macroeconomic and policy climate. The Forum’s Technical Committee will be happy to consider presentation papers on current state and further development of mining and exploration, mining optimisation, technological solutions and increasing general competitiveness of Russia’s mining industry.

Presentations proposed for the mainstream sessions must cover topics that are of general interest to its key audiences and exclude self-promotional or advertising materials. Case studies based on practical experiences in Russia or globally are welcome but should be free from direct advertising and self-promotional materials. Please refer to the list of themes proposed to be addressed at the Forum.

Thought provoking panel discussions are held as part of the mainstream sessions of the forum. They offer experts opportunities for sharing thoughts and ideas via moderator-led dialogue on the range of themes, e.g. regulation, investment, business practices, etc.

To extend their views beyond the Forum audience, presenters can request an individual interview with the Forum’s special correspondent. The interview will be published in the Forum news blog subscribed by leading trade publications and internet-media.

Master Classes and Short Courses are in-depth educational sessions led by presenters with expertise in a variety of different subjects. Prior to the main Forum on 4 October, companies or individuals can organise educational events varying from a 60-minute short courses to a half-day or full-day Master Classes. Business podiums

Special “Business Podium” area will be reserved alongside the Forum’s mainstream program for companies and exhibitors who would like to present their products or services. New presentation opportunities at the Forum

Companies or Entrepreneurs will be able to present greenfield and brownfield investment projects to a panel of professional investors and mining financiers at the Mining Dragon’s Den sessions organised alongside the Trade Show on 5-6 October

Companies or Individuals interested in sharing their ideas or projects with prospective clients, investors and peers will be able to host themed discussions at the interactive round tables during lunch breaks.

Speaker presentation terms

SPEAKER PRESENTATION TERMS

Unless specifically agreed with the Organising Committee all speakers are expected to pay the Forum admission fee. Speakers presenting on behalf of the corporate sponsor or exhibitor will be provided with a complimentary admission in accordance with the sponsorship and exhibitor terms. When proposing speaker presentation please note that we are unable to cover speaker’s travel expenses or sponsor research.

HOW TO SUBMIT SPEAKER PRESENTATION PROPOSAL?

If you wish to present at the Forum, please complete before 22 August

speaker + delegate or exhibitor or sponsorship registration forms.

Please note that abstract should be no longer than 1000 words and should include information about the speaker (full name, job title, company or organization he/she represents), contact details (tel, email), presentation theme, time required to deliver presentation and special technical requirements.

What is next?

If your presentation has been accepted by the MINEX Technical Committee, you will be expected to submit the following documentation prior to the forum (please refer to deadlines listed in the speaker form):

  • Bio and Photo (unless not already submitted earlier) – before 22 August
  • Handout notes and / or Presentation slides in PDF format to be included in the pre-forum materials disc – submit before 22 September
  • Presentation slides in PowerPoint format for on-screen presentation during the forum – submit before 1 October 
 Technical assistance offered to speaker at the forum will include: 

  • Simultaneous Russian/English translation during presentations, Q&As and panel discussions
  • Audio-Visual system for on screen slide presentation
  • Sound and video recording of speaker presentations, master classes and panel discussions
