Session 11- “Russian Mining science – challenges and development prospects “ will be closing the 12th annual mining and exploration forum MINEX RUSSIA 2016. Its participants will express the importance of science for the Russian mining industry and the benefits they bring to each other.

Olesya Lipich the Head of Environmental Bureau at the Zabaykalzolotoproekt will talk about the challenges and sources of growth made possible by developing a science-intensive mining industry in Russia.

Deputy Director General for Resource Management Projects and Executive Director of the Scientific-Production Center at RT-Business Development, Mr Igor Demidov will demonstrate the role of the EPCM centre in the implementation of the Rostec mining projects, and talk about development strategy, core competencies, growth drivers.

The Head of research laboratory, VNIPIpromtechnologii, Mr Evgeny Kuzmin will explain solving regional environmental problems by underground tailing placing. “The decision of the underground and surface placement of tailings with its transformation from liquid to paste/gel form reduces the surface area of ​​tailing- storages, and prevent contaminants in the natural hydrogeological space.”- he comments.
