Yevgeny’s primary expertise lies in open pit and underground mine planning. He is competent in the use of Datamine, Mine 2-4D, AutoCAD and MS Project software, Whittle, NPV Scheduler, MineSched, Minemax, and Microsoft applications. He has more than 16 years of experience primarily as lead mine planning engineer on feasibility studies and responsible for pit optimization, pit design and mine production scheduling in projects in Australia, Africa, Argentina, Kazakhstan, and Russia. This experience gives him a clear perspective of the issues involved with identifying project objectives and then developing plans to meet those objectives.
Meeting the Objectives by Mine Planning
Using mine planning, particularly the interplay of mining rate, processing rate, and cutoff grade, we can create production schedules that meet a range of objectives. This presentation follows on from the Strategy Optimization class and looks in more detail at open pit mine planning options to meet particular objectives. This includes a practical example of the outcomes that are possible.
